11th Annual Holiday Sale
Westport Library
20 Jesup Rd. (off US Rte 1)

Salman Rushdie
Dec 5 - 6
  • Our annual book and audio-visual sale for gift-giving and collectors
  • Sat. Dec. 5: 9-5 and Sun. Dec. 6: 1 to 5
  • Gift-worthy books in many categories: current fiction as well as lots of nonfiction – for children, adults, and teens -- including cooking, gardening, home crafts, art, history, biography, religion, sports, poetry, classic literature, fine bindings, travel, music, coffee-table, as well as unopened DVDs, CDs, and audio books. All in pristine condition.
  • And our featured special: Unread, signed first editions of Salman Rushdie's new novel, Two Years Eight Months and Twenty-Eight Nights, which he autographed at the Library's recent Malloy lecture…a New York Times bestseller and a perfect holiday gift. In addition, he also signed few of his older titles, including Satanic Verses. These used books will also be sold at the sale. A feast for Rushdie fans and collectors!
  • Wait, there's more! A few copies of:
    • An American Theatre: The Story of Westport Country Playhouse, 1931-2005. A special donor's edition signed by Joanne Woodward, who wrote the Foreword, in a custom clamshell case.
    • It's What I Do: A Photographer's Life of Love and War by Lynsey Addario, the Pulitzer Prize-winning Westport photographer, and signed by her. • Also, children's Christmas books
  • All books and audio-visual materials are attractively priced as gifts. As always, no sales tax and Visa, MasterCard, and Amex credit cards accepted.
  • The book sale is on the main level of the Library and close to the Library's own gift store, where everything is on sale, and the café. Because weather is always unpredictable, the holiday book sale line will form under the protected lower-level portico. These doors will open before the main-level doors, and book-sale customers will be entering the building before regular patrons.
