- A collection of Robert Lawson’s books, the prominent writer and illustrator of children’s books, lived in Westport for almost 30 years. He illustrated “Ferdinand the Bull” and “Rabbit Hill,” which he also authored. Lawson was the only person to have won both the Caldecott and Newbery medals. In addition to nice reading copies, the collection includes many first editions, as well as these signed titles.

- In support of small businesses and entrepreneurs, we are pleased to offer you the opportunity to attend the Friends of the Temple Public Library book sale before its public opening,The sale is run entirely by volunteers and we ask that you observe the following:
- All items must be personally counted by a sale volunteer. Please separate your items in categories (hardback, paperback, etc.) before counting.
- No negotiation on prices.
- Access to storeroom is prohibited at all times.
- Keep aisles and doorways clear.
- Return items you decide not to take to their original location.
- Service may be refused for noncompliance with the above.
