First paperback edition in excellent condition. Signed on the half-title. 
        • Adam Smith. An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations. The fourth edition in four volumes (containing all five "books" of Wealth of Nations). Basil (sic): Tourneisen and Legrand, 1791. Published a year after Smith's death, this is supposedly the first continental edition and contributed enormously to the spread of Adam Smith's ideas in Europe.
    • Interesting and important special collections of books and magazines, mostly from individual donors:
      • Playboy magazine, a few from 1960's, many from 70's and 80s,and also 90s and early 2000.
      • Clocks and watches --- history, collecting, repairing. Includes the National Watch and Clock Collectors bulletin from 1978 to 2003.

Books will be given away on a first-come-first-serve basis. Non-profit organizations interested in any of the leftover items should contact Lisa Dunham at 441-2300 ext. 1583 prior to the Fair.
  • Volunteers: Approximately 200 volunteers are needed for a successful Book Fair. Anyone interested in working a 3 to 4 hour shift at the Fair or in helping to set up the Fair, will be able to sign up online beginning July 1 at Volunteer jobs include stocking tables, tallying sales, cashiering, providing information and loading and unloading trucks. Volunteers will be notified of their duties prior to the Book Fair.
